In June 2017 we curated a weekend festival with Ian Rankin to celebrate 30th anniversary of his Rebus novels.

We put together an imaginative and ambitious programme of events across Edinburgh which brought Rebus to life

Festival highlights included:

An exhibition at The Writers Museum featuring Ian Rankin’s personal artefacts, filmed interviews and original manuscripts at the A screening of a rarely-seen Rebus feature film and Q&A with Rankin and Director

Rebus quotes were written across the city in partnership with the City of Literature

,Whisky tastings, Rebus tours and a quiz hosted by Ian and Phil Jupitus

All events sold out within days of announcement, generated a huge amount of national publicity and social media coverage

By aligning the books to real life crime, Rebus won a new generation of readers and the campaign won a
