Matt Haig

Matt Haig's Reason to Stay Alive was a departure from his previously published novels at Canongate, and this open and honest book about living with depression needed a carefully thought out and sensitive approach.

We used Matt's voice and tone throughout the campaign to pitch to media and to encourage others to discuss and share their stories of mental health.

We worked with multiple charity partners including Mind in England and SAMH in Scotland whose endorsement gave gravitas to the campaign and helped the book to reach wider audiences.

We ran a year-long campaign from hardback to paperback publication ensuring that messaging was continuous and consistent.   The hardback featured in the Top Ten Bestseller list for 15 weeks and the paperback for 10 weeks.

In 2016 Jaz won the PPC Award for Hardback Non-Fiction for the campaign which was then shortlisted for Publicity Campaign of the year at the Bookseller Industry Awards.

"Angela and Jaz are enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated.  I would recommend them to anyone."
