In 2012 we created launch party for Irvine Welsh’s Skagboys – the much anticipated prequel to Trainspotting

The brief from Penguin was to reach a new generation of readers for Trainspotting and Porno (the sequel) and generate coverage and excitement for Skagboys

We recreated the Trainspotting story with an experiential event at Irvine's hometown of Edinburgh, with DJs featured in the first Trainspotting book, previously unseen footage of Irvine with the real people who inspired his characters and graphic art from the Skagboys designers.  The event sold out 600 tickets, with the book included in the ticket price

The campaign generated media coverage for the new book, while selling the re-branded Porno and Trainspotting titles
